I came across this while I have been resting & recovering & reading my way back to wellness….It felt like something I needed to share….because even though most of it I know & live by…I realized how nice it was to actually read it and be reminded….I hope you all feel the same way as you read it…..

“Wellness is a choice- a decision you make to move towards optimal health. Wellness is a way of… life- a lifestyle you design to achieve your highest potential for well-being. Wellness is a process- a developing awareness that there is no end point, but that health & happiness are possible in each moment, here and now. Wellness is the efficient channeling of energy- energy recieved from the environment, transformed within you and sent on to affect the world outside. Wellness is the integration of body, mind, and spirit- the appreciation that everything you do, and think, and feel, and believe has an impact on your state of health. Wellness is the loving acceptance of yourself.

A Well Person:
 -allows and expresses emotions as vital & positive life signs;
-listens to and respects the needs of the body
 -cultivates a balanced relationship with time and lives as fully as possible in the present moment
 – practices self-responsibility and active participation in life
 – recognizes his or her connections to all other human beings and serves and honors them accordingly
 – is able to redefine crisis as opportunity, knowing that how one perceives and therefore defines the events in life is what determines happiness
 -uses the mind in ways that support creativity and positive outlook
– lives in remembrance of spiritual values.”
